Alaster's Birthday Morning

Before the party and dedication we had for Alaster a couple days after his birthday we had a few things he got to open on his actual birthday morning.

Some Birthday morning presents.
He wasn't quite sure what to do.
No worries…big bro was eager to show him how it's done.
Grandpa and Grandma made a quilt for him.
Let's open this thing up and check it out.
Alright, a nice warm and cozy quilt to keep me warm this winter.

The next one is from Uncle Paul, Aunt Barbie and cousins Dustin and Madi.
He tore the paper off so quick we couldn't even get a picture of it.
He got a Little People Noah's Ark play set.
We don't feed our children cupcakes for breakfast; we just happen to put him in the same PJ's that he had on that morning.

Good thing we hadn't lit the candle yet; he reached right out and grabbed it.
Xander got to enjoy one of his little bro's birthday cupcakes.
Happy Birthday To Me….
…Happy Birthday To Me...
…Happy Birthday Dear Alaster, Happy Birthday To Me.
Alright, let's get this thing in my mouth now that the fire is out.

Xander & Alaster Playing

Alaster found his way INTO his toy box.
I guess if you really want to play with all your toys this is the way to do it.

I got in here, so now I gotta figure out how to get out.
Here goes nothin'
…almost got it.
Success!

Brother's having some fun together.
Big brother Xander showing his little' bro how it's done.

Alaster's First Haircut

The before picture as he waits for big brother to get finished up.
He was beginning to look a bit frazzled.
Xander loves getting his haircut from Santa; yes, that's really her name, but she pronounces it Sãnta.
Looking good.
Ok…it's Alaster's turn to get cleaned up.
He was certainly having a good time.
Alaster did a great job of sitting still for Sãnta.
So cute.
Alright, he's starting to come into focus.

His haircut made such a huge difference; he really looked like a big boy after his chop.

A Quick Fishing Trip & Picnic

Alaster enjoying the lake.

Xander and Daddy drowning some worms.
Xander hoping for that first bite.
Lisa actually being a little goofy with this self pic.
The best remedy for not catching any fish…a nice picnic under the trees.
Lisa and Alaster smooching on the lake shore.
A great picnic spread
Alaster enjoying one of his last bottles.
What a "goof-ball"

Alaster's 1st Birthday Party and Dedication

With Uncle Jim & Aunt Melinda preforming his dedication to the Lord.
Alaster was very excited and very happy to see everyone who came.
Lisa sharing about his journey with DiGeorge and the miracles that have been done by God in his life.
Alaster having a good time hamming-it-up for the crowd.
It was Uncle Jim's turn to hold on to the wiggle-worm
Praising the Lord for all the great things He's done in Alaster's life.
Prayer over our little boy and thanking Jesus for him being ours.
It was time to get the party started.
He approved of the cupcake.
He approved very much actually.  He had a great time sharing with Daddy.
But he certainly was making sure he got his share.
Enjoying the party.
The sugar coma was setting in.

Praise'n the Lord!
Grandma Charlotte got him this very cool Fire Truck to celebrate his first year.
He drove over to tell her, "Thank You."
He loved ring'n that bell with Grandma Linda keeping a sharp eye on him.

Alaster and Grandpa
With his Grandma Char.
An end to a perfect party.
Alaster was blessed with many, many gifts.
He even got his first piggy-bank.
