Alaster definitely loves playing with his big brother and Xander definitely loves playing with his little brother.  They have a ton of fun together.

Xander got to go to a birthday party on Sunday afternoon and enjoyed a cupcake.

This has nothing to do with our kids.  I just needed to pay homage to a trusted friend who finally kicked the bucket today.  This coffee pot has served me well for years and I will most definitely miss it.

Friday's

There are many thing things I love about Friday's, but here are just a few that come to mind.

1.  It's just Friday; I love it for no other reason than it's simply Friday.

2.  The fact that both boys get to be at home with Lisa on Friday's. As a Husband and Daddy I just have a greater sense of peace than I normally do knowing that my family is safe at home together.

3.  I get cute pictures like the ones below sent to me throughout the day to help me pass the time.

Daddy's Little Helper

Xander has a couple of small sand boxes in our back yard that I needed to make covers for in order to keep pesky little animals from using them as toilets.  So on Sunday afternoon I broke out the power tools and went to work.  Of course, Xander was right on my heals saying, "I help you Daddy?"  How could I say, "No?"

I gave him some things to keep him occupied as I went about the main task of cutting out the covers, but when it came time to sand them I had nothing more I could do but to let him have a go at it.  I was pretty surprised at what a good job he did.  He followed my instructions perfectly and was able to sand the wood down to a nice smooth finish.
