Snow Time!

We saw the snow falling on the mountain and decided to make a quick run up the hill to play.  Xander and Dad had a few minutes to goof around before the snow started coming down too hard.

Xander's first Snow Angel - Not too shabby if you ask me.
Dad made one too that Xander had to get in and make sure
I had done it right.  Thankfully I passed the test.

A Collision On The Street and In The Bedroom

Collision #1 - On The Street:  Daddy's truck got sideswiped by some moronic imbecile with an attitude of entitlement (one of the most awesome of all human attitudes if you ask me).  I say this because he was so intent on being in the lane I was already in that he intentionally side-swiped the entire left side of my truck.  He did this for no other reason than he felt he deserved to be where I already was.  This lovely excuse-for-a-compendent-person then proceeded to make up a outlandish story of how the accident took place.  The great part about that was his incompetence behind the wheel was only compounded by his incompetence for making up a believable story.  Both the police and insurance company have determined what he claims to have happened is impossible based on the damage incurred on both vehicles (I just love the laws of physics).

Thankfully I was not hurt and Lisa, Xander or Alaster were not with me when it happened.  When I got home and Xander saw that Daddy's truck had a boo-boo, as he puts it; he promptly came to the conclusion, "Daddy's truck needs a band-aid."  He then went to the medicine cabinet and got one of his Cars bandages with Mator on it and put it on Daddy's truck boo-boo.

Collision #2 - In The Bedroom:  This collision occurred the other night at around 2 AM.  As I went in to check in on Xander I found the following scene.  He seemed to have suffered a roll-over collision with his bed.  He's upside-down; turned-around and was almost thrown from the bed.

With all seriousness; we are thankful that he wasn't hurt.  We are aware of how serious this collision was and how easily he could have been injured.  It's quite obvious that the Lord was protecting both Xander and Daddy when they got into their accidents.

I was laughing so hard when I saw this I had to leave the room so I would wake him up.  He's a Wild-Man!
These are a couple of pictures of Xander helping Daddy do some painting in the garage.  He's quite the helper and loves to hang out in the garage (just like his Dad).

2011 - Off And Running!

Our little Teddy Bear.
Mommy hanging out with her boys.
Xander doing what he does best...having a good time.
Alaster and Xander kickin' it Xmas-Style.
Yes, we are aware that Alaster is dressed up as Santa in a picture taken in January,
but he just now got to the point where he could fit into the suit.
And does it really matter what time of year it is?  He looks so stinkin' cute anyway.
Daddy got Xander some of the coolest shoes on the planet; his first
pair of Adidas Samba's...totally stinkin' awesome.
Xander sitting out in front of the house patiently waiting for
the garbage trucks to come and dump our trash bins.  He
loves the garbage trucks...what can we say?
Our precious boys having some special bro-time.
Xander helping Dad wash out the trash bins.  What a great helper.
Once he got the bins clean and the work was done, then it was time
for a little fun.  Of course his idea of fun resulted in Daddy becoming
completely soaked.
Our big boy on the slide.
Lisa brought home a bunch of papers from the office that needed shredding,
of which Xander was more than willing to help.  He did a great job and almost made it
all the way through the entire task before the urge to make a mess over-took him.
Daddy came home to floor-to-floor snow with him and Mommy in the middle of
a snow ball fight and making snow angels.
Of course, Daddy was not left out of the fun.  This picture was taken just milliseconds
before Dad got hammered with this huge snow ball.

Pre/Post-Christmas Pics

Here are some various pictures from Christmastime that didn't make their way into any of the other posts.  The most notable of which is the one of Alaster's first visit to Santa Claus.  It was Thanksgiving weekend and we made our way to Disneyland for the soul purpose of seeing Santa Claus.  Alaster slept through the entire event and Xander was very cautious of the big man in the red suit (which we thought might be the case).

We had talked up the whole experience during the entire drive to the park as well as the entire time we were in line.  He watched Santa Claus Is Coming To Town on my iPhone while were in line.  He was all set to meet Santa and tell him that he wanted a keyboard for Christmas.  Then, as you might expect, when it came time to go and meet him face to face he got a little freaked out.  We were thankful that he didn't throw some crazy fit as we saw many other children much older than he was do.  He did say hi to Santa and was able to shake his hand and tell him he wanted the keyboard, he just wouldn't sit on his lap which was perfectly fine with us; we got a great family pic nonetheless.

Alaster's first visit to Santa Claus and Xander's 3rd visit.  Being able to visit Santa Claus
at Disneyland is great because not only do we get to see Santa, but we get to meet his
wife, Mrs. Claus, along with his 8 reindeer; what a treat.
Taking Santa's sleigh out for a test flight.
This may have already been posted, but this was our official 2010 Christmas Picture.  The four
of us in front of the Disneyland Christmas Tree on Main Street.
Lisa snuggling with her precious baby boy.  Having a newborn around the house
at Christmastime is quite possibly the coolest thing ever.
We took a quick trip to the outdoor mall near our home called Victoria Gardens.
As you can see, Xander had a pretty tight grip on his Mommy's hair.
A quick snapshot of everyone scurrying across the street.  Grandma and Grandpa
were able to keep up so long as Xander was being carried by someone; otherwise
he would have left them in the dust.
One last picture of us in front of our 2010 Christmas Tree.  Lisa and Xander
did an excellent job of decorating; it was almost a shame to have to take it down.
I come from a long line of pyromaniac's and have quite a passion for fire and watching
things burn (that's Grandpa getting the fire started for us).  I had the great idea going
green this year and recycling our tree in the old fashioned way.  I figured it would be
much more beneficial to burn the tree down to a small pile of ash rather than fill an
entire garbage can with its branches.

All I can say is that if you're a tree-hugger, you better be thankful I'm taking such an active role
in protecting our environment and preserving space in our land-fills.
I'm sure Xander will have no problem carrying on the family pyro legacy; he
enjoyed the flames and smoke just a much as my and his Grandpa.

Full of Joy!

There's never a dull moment around our house as you can tell my this impromptu dance preformed by our X-man.  He can always make us smile, no matter how bad our day might have been.
