Recents of Xander & Alaster

They are not the best quality being from our phones, but they're certainly cute.

Alaster's Saturday morning nap.
Alaster having a fun time rolling around on the floor.

Xander said he wanted to help make the bed.

We thought he was going to help just because he wanted to help.

His ulterior motive was to have fun playing in the pillows.

Speechless

Breathtaking don't you think?

Fun'n Around

A Batch of Photo's

Here are a bunch of photo's that have been taken over the past month or so.

Big brother is already teaching Alaster some not-so-good habits.

Yep...he's a keeper.
Adorable

Our future Rock Star!
Looks like he's got a little Van Halen going on there.
Yep...I'm the cool Rock Star...everybody love me.

Misc. Video's

A few video's that we've taken over the past couple weeks.

Every night before bed Xander has to dance in front of the mirror.  This isn't our mandate for him, but his choice.  He loves to sing and dance and do so while watching himself in the mirror.  Most nights he drags Mommy and Daddy onto the dance floor along with brother.  We'll spare you having to view that footage.  Anyway, here is Xander singing to his current favorite song, One Way Jesus.

Alaster sitting on Daddy's lap looking up at him and saying, "Hi."

Xander's First Dental Exam

Last week marked the first dental visit for Xander.  He did awesome; he wasn't scared or give us or Dr. Leiberg any trouble at all.  He sat in the chair and did so well that they were even able to clean his teeth.  The great thing about that is we were told they are not normally able to do that on a child's first visit because by the time the exam is done most kids are either too scared or too squeamish to continue.  Xander could have even sat for more if it was needed, but thankfully he has a mouth full of very healthy teeth.

Xander sitting in the chair practicing before the dentist came in.
Xander finally gets to meet Dr. Leiberg.  We had been talking with him about her
and his appointment for months, so by the time he got there he was pretty
excited to finally meet her face to face.
He laid his head back, opened his mouth and we were off and running.
Dr. Leiberg showed him every tool she was going to use before she put it in his mouth.
Here she's showing him the teeth cleaning tool and letting him
hear that wonderful sound we all know and love so much.
He sat perfectly still for the entire cleaning.
Baby brother was just chillin' on the sidelines for this one.
The last big push with the cleaner and that sucky-tube.  He  thought
the sucky-tube was pretty cool actually.  He played with it after
they were all finished.
One last rinse and suck and he was all done.
At this point all he could think of was the shiny new toothbrush that was waiting
for him over on the counter.
Xander and Dr. Leiberg are now best friends.
And of course we can't forget to grab a toy out of the toy chest to take home.

Playtime at the Park

This post is from our trip to the park on Saturday.  Xander was in need of some one-on-two time with Mom and Dad, so we headed out for an afternoon with just the 3 of us.  We played on the playground, watched some little league baseball (which lasted all of 30 seconds because he was bored...he's definitely my son), a small picnic of cheese and crackers in the grass, then some soccer time.  When we finished at the park he got to choose what we had for dinner and he picked Burgers and Fries.  It was a great afternoon and it seemed to have made a difference because he hasn't stopped talking about it.

Xander loves going down the slide.
Xander and Mommy seeing who could swing the highest.
Daddy and Xander going head-to-head on the racing slide.
Xander wasn't too fond of the tire-swing, but he stayed on long enough
for us to take this picture.
We thought he might enjoy it more if he rode it with Dad...not so much.
Xander kicking the soccer ball around; he's got a nice strong boot and does
pretty good at dribbling the ball too.
His attention quickly focused on the big tree he needed to climb.
He gave it 100%, but still didn't get all that far off the ground.
We'll keep working on this with him.
A short break to grub on some cheese and crackers on the grass.

Mommy was very proud of her big boy today.  As you can see in this
video, he is very helpful and nice to other kids.

On the teeter-totter Mommy got a quick kiss from her boy.
Xander and Mommy trying to keep Daddy in the air on the teeter-totter.
Needless to say, their efforts were in vain.
Xander and Mommy having some fun on the whoop-de-doo slide.
Xander got a little turned around on this run; he was laughing pretty hard though.
A nice shot of Mommy and her big baby boy.
Lisa and I were both a little surprised at how well he traversed this ladder.
After we got so excited for him, he had to show off for the camera.
The last step is a doozy.
Victory is so sweet.

I know...we're bad parents.  But we just couldn't help but see what would happen.
We were both laughing so hard we had tears in our eyes.  Thankfully Xander
thought it was just as funny.

Nothing beats finding a big stick to play with.
An end to a very fun day.
